Rig Run connects shippers across Alberta's oilfield and industrial sector with local hotshot operators โ post a job and watch bids roll in, grab space on a planned run that's already headed your way, or schedule the materials you know you'll need hauled so a carrier can lock it in ahead of time. No phone tree, no group chats, no guessing.
This is what the board feels like once it's live โ open jobs across Alberta, sorted by urgency, with bid counts updating in real time.
Freight you can see coming doesn't have to be a scramble. Carriers post the trips they've already got planned so shippers can grab the open deck space โ and shippers post the materials they know they'll need hauled so carriers can lock in the work before the day arrives. Two ways to plan ahead, less deadhead and fewer empty decks across Alberta.
Carriers โ post your planned runs and earn on the miles you're already driving. This is a sample of how planned runs will look once the board is live.
Shippers โ schedule the loads you see coming and let carriers line up before the day arrives. This is a sample of how scheduled loads will look once the board is live.
More than one way to move freight: post a one-off load and take bids, book space on a carrier's planned run, or schedule the loads you already know are coming so a carrier can claim them ahead of time.
Pickup, drop-off, weight, dimensions, and how soon you need it there.
Local hotshot operators see your job and respond with rates and availability โ usually within minutes.
Compare price, rating, and ETA. Confirm the job and you're done.
Book deck space on a carrier's planned run, or post the materials you know you'll need hauled next week so a carrier can lock in the haul before the day arrives โ no last-minute scramble.
Filter by region, trailer type, and load size โ no more guessing who needs a truck.
Set your own rate. No forced pricing, no middleman taking the spread.
Confirmed jobs land in your queue. Payment is arranged directly with the shipper on completion โ no middleman holding your money. Build a rating and steady repeat work.
Already heading out? List the trip so shippers can fill your empty deck. Or claim a shipper's scheduled load and line up paid freight days in advance โ fewer empty miles, a steadier week.
Rig Run was built around a problem that's familiar to anyone working in Alberta's oilfield and industrial sector: when something needs to move quickly, finding the right truck often means working through phone calls and personal contacts, with no easy way to compare availability or pricing.
Rig Run brings that process onto a single platform โ shippers post what needs to move, local carriers respond with bids, and both sides can make an informed choice quickly. The goal is simple: make local freight matching faster, more transparent, and more efficient for everyone involved.

Every carrier on Rig Run can verify their proof of insurance and dangerous goods (TDG) certification during sign-up. Verified carriers display a Verified badge on their bids, so shippers know who they're working with before they pick up the phone. Shippers can also verify their business โ registration, address, and ID โ to display a Verified Shipper badge on their listings. Documents are reviewed privately and never shared publicly โ only the verification status is shown.
โ ๏ธ Rig Run never asks for upfront deposits. Be cautious of anyone requesting payment before a job is completed.
Big national load boards weren't built for the way oilfield hotshot work actually moves. Rig Run is.
No digging through continent-wide freight to find a job two hours away. Every post is local.
Shippers and carriers deal directly. You set the rate โ Rig Run just makes the match.
Urgent oilfield jobs don't wait. Neither does the board.
Rough out your potential monthly income based on how many jobs you'd realistically take and what you'd typically bid.
This is a rough estimate to help you plan โ actual earnings depend on job availability, your rates, and how much you choose to take on.
No โ posting a shipment is free for shippers. Rig Run makes money through carrier subscriptions, not by charging shippers to post.
Planning works both ways. A Planned Run is a trip a carrier already has scheduled โ a haul to Fort McMurray on Thursday, a weekly run to Lethbridge โ posted ahead with their open deck space, so a shipper can reserve that space instead of posting a brand-new job. A Scheduled Load is the reverse: a shipper posts materials they already know they'll need hauled โ drilling supplies on Monday, a standing weekly pipe run โ so a carrier can claim the work and line it up days in advance. Either way it's the same verified carriers and direct booking as the live board, just planned in advance instead of last-minute.
Once a shipper picks a bid, payment is arranged directly between the shipper and carrier on completion of the job โ by e-transfer, invoice, or however you normally handle it. Rig Run doesn't hold or process job payments.
Verified carriers have submitted proof of insurance (and TDG certification, if applicable) for review. Once approved, a green "โ Verified" badge appears on their bids so shippers know they're working with a properly insured operator.
